Robert Andrews’ solo show success

Robert Andrews has now sold nine paintings as a result of his solo exhibition at the Art Factory Gallery, South Brisbane. The show was held for a week in March, and the artist will be exhibiting at the same venue in September/October, along with two other artists.

Robert is also to coordinate a half-day painting & mixed workshop on 15 May, for Grade 11 & 12 students. The workshop will be part of the Creative Juice Excellence in Art camp at Yaroomba, on the Sunshine Coast.

Nick Olsen recycling for art

Nick Olsen has some great sculptures currently on show at Global Arts Link (D'Arcy Doyle Place, Ipswich, Qld) as part of the ‘Rubbish - recycling as art’ exhibition. The show focuses on recycled or found objects used in the creation of artworks. It is a group show featuring artists from around Australia. The exhibition continues to 16 May 2004.

New Nicola Chatham works part of ‘immediatemix’ group show

Nicola Chatham is part of a new group exhibition - immediatemix - which opens on Saturday 3 April 2004 at artworks gallery (25 The Brickworks Centre, Southport, QLD. Ph: 07-55 285 441). The show features work by Anne Saunders, Doug Wright, Nicola Chatham, Shayle Flesser, Liz Stops, Dan Mason, Pamela Stadus, Spencer Shakespeare, Billy Shannon, Monika Behrens, Kelly Shakespeare, Petra Reece, Mark Thiele, Judith Roberts and Wade Owen.

Great run for Robert Andrew’s latest solo exhibition

Robert Andrew’s latest exhibition 'Now & Ten - paintings & assemblages by Robert Andrews - 1994/2004' featured eight new works and a selection of 39 other works created during the last 10 years. He sends his thanks to the 50 or so people who came along on opening night. The show ended this week and as at March 23rd, six paintings had been sold as a result of the show.

Andrews also has a group exhibition in the works (which could again be at the Art Factory Gallery).
