Sam Sosnowski to hold his annual exhibition in November

Brisbane artist Sam Sosnowski will hold his annual exhibition over two Saturdays & Sundays (13 & 14 and 20 & 21 November - 10am-4pm) in his Studio/Gallery (43 Vulture St West End - Cnr Bond St).

Called "MIxed Bag" it features drawings from his recent overseas’ trip, original life drawings, limited edition prints and some innovative "metal cuts".

There will be a sneak preview of all the work on Sam's website from 10 November or you can call Sam on 0411 725 500 for enquiries and viewings by appointment.

Migs has new work on the way for 2004/2005

Migs has a couple of exhibitions on the way with one at Fox Galleries (Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley) in December and another - Roots in beaut utes - at Doggett Street Studio (85 Doggett St, Newstead, Qld) which opens on 25 February 2005.

Sonja Jack offers some handy hints for Florence Biennale 2005

The Biennale Internazionale dell’Arte Contemporanea is set to take place from 3 to 11 December 2005 and Sonja Jack has added some insights of her experiences after showing their last year at Biennale 2003. Robert Andrews to exhibit and tour regional Qld

Artist Robert Andrews will be exhibiting new works from today (Friday 24 September - opening at 7pm) at ASAP - an exhibition of paintings & assemblages by Robert Andrews and paintings by Madeline Schofield - and running to 30 September. The exhibition takes place at the Art Factory Gallery (84 Merivale Street, South Brisbane - corner of Glenelg Street. Hrs: 10.30am to 8pm).

Robert has also accepted an offer from the Qld. Arts Council to contribute artworks to an exhibition that is to tour regional Qld during 2005. A selection of his assemblages will tour, along with sculptural works by Leon van de Graaff.

Elizabeth Shaw has been selected to exhibit in ‘Style Australia’ - the Australian Design Showcase at Tokyo Designers Week. ‘Style Australia’ will be at the Australian Embassy in Tokyo from 8 to 10 October 2004.

Robert Andrews to show new work in September

Robert Andrews will be showing some new paintings & assemblages at the Art Factory Gallery (Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets, South Brisbane) in September. Carl Warner exhibits thrice in July/August

Photographer Carl Warner is getting his work out there with three new exhibitions currently on show around Brisbane.

First up, there’s new works from his series The Surface at the University Art Museum (The Mayne Centre, University of Queensland, St Lucia. 3365 3046) which runs until Wednesday August 18. Carl will be giving a Floor Talk (along with Madonna Staunton) on Saturday 7 August at 2pm.

There are also works from this series at a new venue - Jan Manton Art (12 Fish Lane, South Brisbane. 3844 0043) and it runs until Friday 20 August.

Carl is also taking part in a group exhibition - Surface - at the Queensland Centre for Photography (33 Oxford St, Bulimba. 3399 9398) which is on until Sunday 15 August.
