2008 has been a year of discovery and learning, not only for the Students at Redcliffe State High School, but for resident artist Julie Hauritz. In her upcoming exhibition, ‘A Year in the Studio’ is a journey experienced while working in the disciplined environment of an artist studio.
The resulting works explore a myriad of human emotions, as Hauritz investigates the human physique in all its abstract and symbolic forms. Her work captures the very essence of human existence on earth and in modern day society.
A Year in the Studio opens Friday 7 November (6-8pm) at Studio Red (Redcliffe State High School, Cnr Oxley Ave and Klingner Rd, Redcliffe) with opening speaker Dawn Oelrich.
