Amanda has also had her book - One Little Tree - selected in the Libris Award exhibition in Mackay.










Susan Buret's solo exhibition - Stolen Geometry from the Gardens of Love - is currently showing at Anita Traverso Gallery (7 Albert Street, Richmond, Melbourne, Vic. Ph: 03 9428 7557) and finishes up on 29 May.

Anita West has had two images selected for the Redlands City Council Promotional Postcard Booklet.
She is also exhibiting 6 large paintings in the Cerebral Palsy Art for Art Sake Exhibition which is on now at Waterfront Place until 21 May, and Anita has also kindly donated one of her popular large beach paintings for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Appeal Art Auction to take place at Gallery One (located in the Brickworks precinct at Southport) on 15 May.
Anita has new representation with Gallery One on the Gold Coast.

Sasi Victoire, Laurel McKenzie and Margaret Genever will exhibit - Wonderland - at Vivo Artroom (Williams Esplanade, Palm Cove, Qld. Ph: 07 4059 0944) from 18 June to 17 August. In Sasi's woodcuts and mixed media works, there’s a playful revamp of Alice in Wonderland imagery which creates a new narrative of life in tropical Wonderland. Laurel’s pigment-based prints place red-carpet celebrities in unfamiliar territory while Margaret’s archival pigment prints, set in the circus realm, draw attention to ambiguities in the human animal/non-human animal relationship.

Symone Male entered the Archibald Portrait prize this year and her painting of Seja Vogel - Clever Cookie - was chosen by The National Trust to be shown at the alternate Archibald exhibition - Salon Des Refuses.
The exhibition is currently hanging at the S.H.Ervin Gallery (Observatory Hill, The Rocks, Sydney, NSW) until 23 May. The show then tours to the Tweed River Gallery from the 24 June - 8 August.

Lisa Pullen, along with artists Angela Gardner and Gwenn Tasker, are part of The Nightladder exhibition which features silk screen, linocuts and etching prints, inspired by the poems of Angela Gardner.
The show is to be held at Redland Art Gallery (Capalaba Place, Noeleen St, Capalaba, Qld. Ph: 07 3030 4163), opening on Thursday 27 May (6pm) and continuing to 7 July.

TenPlusOne’s annual exhibition opens at NONA Gallery (Brisbane Institute of Art, Grafton St, Windsor, Q) on Friday 21 May (6-9pm) and runs to 2 June.
Kathryn Brimblecombe-Fox is holding a small exhibition - Presence - at The Upfront Club (31 Maple St, Maleny, Qld. Ph: 07 54942592) opening on Thursday 20 May (6-8pm) and continues to 15 June.
Artist Wendy McGrath is a selected artist for the Treeline Art in the Environment Project, and will be installing a site specific work - The Imploring Forest - in the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens (Palm Creek Road, Tanawah, Qld). The Catchment Collective are making works in the Gardens, to be opened on Saturday 29 May (10am-2pm) with art installations, free children's activities and more. It will then be open for viewing until 6 June.
Nicola Moss and Susan Buret's video - That's my Clothes Line Tan - opens at the Gold Coast City Gallery (135 Bundall Street, Surfer's Paradise, Qld. Ph: 07 5581 6567) on Saturday 5 June 2010 (4-6pm). The exhibition continues until 1 August.
