Judith Sinnamon at Edwina Corlette

Judith Sinnamon's new exhibition of still life paintings opens at Edwina Corlette Gallery (2/555 Brunswick Street, New Farm, Qld) from 23 May until 11 June 2011.


Judith Kentish - from ideas of the mute

 Judith Kentish has a new show - from ideas of the mute - opening at Level (Level 1, 11 Stratton St, Newstead, Qld) on Saturday 7 May (6pm) which will run to 28 May.


TenPlusone at Gallery Nona

TenPlusone are holding their 4th Annual Exhibition at Gallery Nona (Brisbane Institute of Art, 41 Grafton St, Windsor, Qld). The exhibition opens Friday 20 May (6-9pm) and continues to 1 June.

Ten Plus One

Robyn McMenamin - LIFE

 Robyn McMenamin, along with Lucy Ward, has a new show - LIFE - which is now on at Graydon Gallery (Merthyr Rd, New Farm, Qld) and officially opens on Friday 6 May (6-8pm).

The show includes still life, landscapes, marine themes and etchings and runs to 15 May.


Robyn Bauer does A-Z

Robyn Bauer is exhibiting 26 new works - Florilegium - An A-Z of chosen flowers - in the group exhibition - Up the Garden Path which runs at Pine Rivers Regional Gallery (199 Gympie Rd, Strathpine, Qld. Ph: 07 34806941) from 1 June to 9 July (opening night on Friday 3 June, 6pm). There is also a book being published to coincide with the exhibition.

Mel Brigg - Situations

Mel Brigg's new show - Situations - runs at Gallery One (Shop 16.02, The Brickworks, 107 Ferry Road, Southport, Qld. Ph: 07 5528 0110) from 14 - 28 May.


John Waters at SA's Hill Smith Gallery

John Waters' latest exhibition - View - is opening at Hill Smith Gallery (113 Pirie Street, Adelaide, SA. Ph: 08 8223 6558) on Friday 6 May and concludes on 29 May.

John weaves gardens, buildings, models, everyday objects and skyscapes in framed and layered compositions to create a calm and imaginary world.

Megan Jones a finalist in the Sulman

Congratulations to Megan Jones who was recently selected as a finalist in the Sir John Sulman Art Prize (exhibited at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney) with a painting entitled 'Darwinian cycle'.

She has also had a painting - Narcissus - selected in the Prometheus Art Award, to be exhibited soon in Merrimac in Queensland.


Lezah Gant-Gildea - From the heART

Lezah Gant-Gildea's work has been pre-selected for the From the heART exhibition which opens 20 May (6pm) at Riverside Centre (123 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Qld), and is open to the public on 23-24 May (10am-4pm). Tickets for the opening night are available to purchase online here.


Kym Barrett - Artist-In-Focus

 Kym Barrett is showing her recent work as Artist-In-Focus at the 30th Immanuel Arts Festival (Immanuel Lutheran College, 126-142 Wises Road, Buderim, Qld) which runs 19-22 May.

Last year, Kym's work - The Memory of Trees I - was awarded Best Painting of the Festival by John Waldron, director of Caloundra Regional Gallery.


Joyce Blanche part of SCAF11

Joyce Blanche is one of the selected artists taking part in the Sanctuary Cove Art Festival being held 4-5 June at the Sanctuary Cove Marine Village.

 Jane Creenaune is holding a studio sale throughout May with works online and on-site including drawings, paintings & sculpture.
